This site has no forms, no accounts and no advertising cookies.

If you email us, we receive your name, your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it to reply and to continue the conversation. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.

We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, and Microsoft Clarity to measure visits and see how pages are used, and only if you accept analytics cookies when asked. Our lawful basis for analytics is your consent. Both record which pages and sections you view, how far you scroll, and which buttons, links and items you click or open. Clarity also records mouse movement, and can replay a visit as a recording. If you decline, none of them loads and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time on this page. Our hosting provider may record technical information such as IP addresses in its server logs for security purposes.

These are set only if you accept analytics cookies. Google Analytics sets two, called _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier. They tell visitors apart and keep one visit together, and each lasts up to 2 years.

Microsoft Clarity sets _clck, which holds a visitor identifier, and _clsk, which joins the pages of one visit into a single recording. Depending on your browser, Microsoft may also set CLID, MUID, SM, MR and ANONCHK, which it uses to recognise a browser across its own sites. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers that run our email, our hosting and, if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Microsoft Clarity, and only so they can provide those services. This can involve transferring it outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including to the United States, under the safeguards the law requires.

We keep correspondence for as long as the business conversation it belongs to remains live, and for a reasonable period afterwards. Ask us to delete yours at any time. Google Analytics keeps visit data for 2 months. Microsoft Clarity keeps recordings for up to 13 months, and most are deleted after 30 days.

You have the right to see the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it in a portable form. Email info@valantiq.com. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or to the data protection authority in your own country. Residents of California and other US states have similar rights, and you can use them in the same way.

You also have the right to withdraw your consent to analytics at any time. Use the link on this page. It takes effect straight away.
